Leading business publication includes the leader in advanced yard management systems on its annual list of software and technology providers.

ALAMEDA, CA, January 09, 2013 -- PINC Solutions, the leading supplier of supply chain visibility and advanced yard management solutions, was once again recognized as Food Logistics 100 technology and solution provider.

Each year, the editors of Food Logistics recognize 100 software and technology providers that help food and beverage manufacturers, foodservice distributors, and grocery retailers attain their business goals. The FL100 is comprised of software providers as well as equipment and technology companies whose products and services play a significant role in food and beverage supply chains.

"With the evolution of the food supply chain, software and technology providers are playing a more critical role in addressing needs such as end-to-end visibility and collaboration, traceability, regulatory compliance, risk management, sustainability, and cost containment," notes Lara L. Sowinski, editor-in-chief of Food Logistics. "Technology is the competitive differentiator for companies in our industry who need to stay ahead of dynamic changes in the marketplace."

"The supply chain industry is rapidly changing because of automated data capturing technologies such as RFID and Software-as-a-Service solutions. Because our customers have real-time visibility to their shipments and assets across their network of facilities and they can access that information online, they are able to better manage costs and increase efficiencies across the board," commented Dr. Aleks Gollu, CTO, PINC Solutions. "We are very honored with this recognition and we would like thank our customers for that."

The webcast is the second of a series focused on supply chain visibility.

ALAMEDA, CA – September 25th, 2012 - PINC Solutions launched today a thought provoking webcast featuring Gartner analyst and VP of supply chain research, Dwight Klappich and Chief Technology Officer and founder of PINC Solutions, Dr. Aleks Gollu. The webcast is called Transportation Myopia and is the second webcast of a series focused on supply chain visibility.

According to independent research, an average trailer shipment takes three days to move from one facility to the next with only eight hours on the road. Simply put, for 80% of the shipment time, the trailer is idling at a distribution center or manufacturing plant. This idle time typically results from trailer status delays and information inaccuracies along the supply chain. Gartner lead analyst, Dwight Klappich, and PINC’s CTO, Dr. Aleks Gollu, will discuss how taking a wider view of the transportation function can help shippers and trading partners unbundle hidden savings and inefficiencies.

Viewers will learn how enterprises are focusing on transportation assets across their entire network of facilities rather than just on the road; how companies are closing the loop in shipment planning and accelerating order fulfillment cycles; and how trading partners are collaborating to reduce information latency about shipments resulting in lower transportation costs.
